My Three Principles:
Longevity
Running often gets a bad reputation as a sport that is hard on the human body. I argue that humans can do hard things! There are a lot of difficult things that we can do throughout life if we do them correctly. As your coach, my goal is to create a strong foundation in all runners. I will tailor training programs specific to your needs to allow you to reach your goals for as long you wish to run.
Inclusivity
Everybody can run and every body can run. People often assume that they are considered a runner only if they run a certain pace, have a certain body shape, or travel a certain distance. I am here to create a space to remind people that if you run, you are a runner. It does not matter your pace, your body type, or the distance you go. I am here to praise all runners and help people meet the goals that feel best for them in the sport, without judgment.
Accountability
The best way to develop yourself as a runner is consistency. Staying consistent can be difficult! When life throws you unexpected obstacles, or when the training gets tough, it can be especially hard to stay on track. As your coach, I am here to hold you accountable to your goals. I will stay in tune with your ups and downs, and I will work with you to keep you moving in the right direction.
Meet your Coach:
Hello! I am Caroline Guglielmo, and I have been a runner longer than I can remember. I took a brief break from the sport after experiencing multiple injuries due to coaching errors, but I quickly rediscovered my love for running as I gained a greater understanding of these errors and took control of my own training.
I am a USECA certified running coach with my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, and my doctorate in Physical Therapy. I not only have expertise in exercise physiology and training principles, but also a deeper understanding of the musculoskeletal system, running mechanics and injury prevention. I look at every runner as an individual and develop personalized training programs to reflect this.
I recognize running as an inclusive sport, and one that can be enjoyable throughout life when done correctly. As a coach, I wish to facilitate longevity in running by tailoring to each person’s needs to promote growth in each person I work with. I wish to create a welcoming environment in the world of running, such that all runners feel their best about their own performance without pressure or judgement. I want to stay In-Step with you, your goals, and your life as a runner.
